Cosmetic Surgery

One of the most popular forms of cosmetic surgery is breast augmentation surgery, more commonly referred to as a breast enlargement. Attempts at breast enlargement surgery first occurred in the late nineteenth century, although these earliest endeavors were largely unsuccessful and some had disastrous results. The modern form of breast enlargement first became available in the late sixties and early seventies when various improvements were made to the techniques involved in breast enlargements, and other forms of cosmetic surgery, particularly with the development of silicon and saline implants. These types of implant, although the technology used in their manufacture and development have become a little more refined are still very widespread in the cosmetic surgery of today and are most frequently used for breast enlargement.

There are also other methods used for breast enhancement surgery, one particularly notorious technique called Polypropylene breast implants which are also known as string breast implants, utilised special implants which take on body fluids one the implant is in place and will continue to grown and expand in size almost indefinitely. These types of breast implants are currently banned in the UK and USA and even before they were banned very few cosmetic surgery professionals would agree to use them. The resulting appearance from string breast implants is ridiculous and cartoon-like, making them ludicrously impractical and the handful of women who opted for this cosmetic surgery treatment had careers in pornographic films.
