Passenger Lifts
A passenger lift is the typical image that comes to mind when someone mentions the word lift or elevators. It is found in many buildings – from hotels to office blocks, shopping centres to apartment blocks. It simply allows users to access different floors fairly quickly and with relative ease. Though it can only take a few passengers at once, it is most often installed in a location that doesn’t require a steady flow of passengers between floors. It is not common to find a large queue of people waiting to use a passenger lift, and this helps illustrate its effectiveness in the majority of places it is installed.
There exists a wide range of options to consider when installing a passenger lift. Heavy-duty passenger lifts can take a considerably larger capacity than a lift that is not as strong. Different environments have different demands, and this can greatly affect the decision of which passenger lift is ideally suited. Safety issues are extremely important to consider when installing a passenger lift. The lift must adhere to health and safety legislation, and it is not uncommon for an emergency phone to be installed in the lift car in the event of power failure for example.
